Gaston Fernandez

Enseignant

Gas is one of the most iconic and indispensable blues dancer in Europe.

Gas´s heart is thirsty to keep improving, learning, developing and fulfilling himself as a blues artist. His compromise is to transmit his passion, knowledge and inspire all those who are interested in this incredible world of Swing and Blues dance.

His background as a gymnast gives his style power, dynamism and explosive moves. His tango technique background provided his blues and “slow dance” with a profound connexion and sensitivity.

Maria Malenkova

Enseignant

Maria is a passionate blues dancer and educator, based in Vilnius, Lithuania. She started dancing at the age of 5, coming from ballroom and latin background and eventually discovering vernacular jazz and blues dances in 2013.


Since then Maria has been following her passion all around the globe, continuously working on her craft, teaching both locally and around Europe. In the international scene she is well-known for her highly structural approach to the teaching process, as well as for her captivating performances and choreographies.

Besides that, Maria teaches conflict-management, coaching dance couples in creating sustainable and comfortable dance relationships.

Edmilson Botelho

Edmilson Botelho

Enseignant

Born and raised in the São Tome and Principe Islands, Edmilson da Cruz Botelho has always lived surrounded by music.

His rhythm builds on the African traditional dances that he has learned while in his home country, including usôa, puíta, funaná, kadance (kizomba), and semba. At the age of 17, Edmilson moved to Porto, and soon after that, he discovered Lindy Hop and blues. His passion for dance led him to become a Lindy Hop, Blues, Authentic-Jazz, Solo Blues and Afro-Jazz teacher.

For him, dance is all about feeling, groove and joy!

Annette Kuehnle

Enseignant

Annette Kuehnle hails from Heidelberg, Germany and is one of Europe's most prominent champions for blues dance as a teacher, social dancer, DJ and organizer. Her love of teaching and dancing are infectious and if you've traveled for blues, you probably already knew that!


Annette is excited to be teaching in beautiful Strasbourg for the first time, and she is

looking forward to helping you bring out your inner awesome!

Elise Klein

Enseignant

Elise is a dancer and dance teacher, passionate about African-American dances and their origins: Blues, Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz.


With about thirty years of experience in a range of genres, including modern Jazz, Funk, R&B, Afro-Urban, Salsa, Swing, Blues, theater, and singing, her artistic and dance path is marked by diversity. 

Formerly a member of an improvised dance troupe, a feminist jazz cabaret, and a musical, Elise has performed many times both on stage and in the street since a young age. However, her main and love focus is Improvisation and she does her best to share that aspect in dance class. 

Miguel Cruz

Enseignant

Miguel has been teaching Blues in Spain, in Barcelona, since 2015. He is completely passionate about this dance and the style of music. He teaches courses throughout Spain but also France and abroad, South Korea, Greece and South Africa, when he travels.

Since 2016, he has been organizing the Cocoa Blues & Fusion Exchange Barcelona, a great festival of blues dances that brings together dancers and dancers from all over Europe.

Miguel is also a DJ in many festivals. He likes to investigate and delve into the Blues Aesthetics and the Blues Idiom Dances as a cornerstone of his classes.

Groupe de musique

This bunch of people joined forces from quite a different background when it comes to their personal gateways into their love for blues music. Marco, a guitar player at heart started playing when he was a child and never stopped, Lotte found her love for blues music via the swing dance community and picked up the double bass during the pandemic, Collin has spent years on the same dancefloors as Lotte, but started playing drums long before and Loes who has been singing in all kinds of bands since highschool met the blues in 2018 where her soulful voice and heart finally felt at home.
